Primary Health Tasmania (PHT) and the Black Dog Institute (BDI) are looking for families and friends of a person on staged supply due to risk of suicide to share their experiences.
The project aims to improve the capacity of pharmacists to identify and respond to people in distress and at risk of suicide. The project is supported by The Pharmaceutical Society Australia, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and Curtin University and is part of PHT’s ongoing work for the National Suicide Prevention Trial.
The interview would explore experiences with:
- the medical practitioner prescribing a staged supply of medication,
- the process of presenting the prescription to a community pharmacy and
- receiving the staged supply of the medication.
Please contact Dr Joanna Moullin (08 9266 7376) from Curtin University for full participant information or read more.
