Mental Health Families and Friends Consultation

Thank you to the Families and Friends who registered for this consultation, your feedback is appreciated and valued. The With You Team has advised that registrations are now closed.
With You is a project developing rights-based, trauma-informed training for the legal assistance sector in working with people experiencing poor mental health or suicidality. We are speaking to a range of professionals who have worked in or alongside the legal assistance sector, alongside people who have accessed services and their carers, family members, supporters and kin. This includes services like Community Legal Centres, Legal Aid Commissions, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services and Family Violence Prevention Legal Services. Once designed and developed, the free training will be provided to people working in these organisations nation-wide.
We are running consultations until mid-June. People can participate in a variety of ways:
- an interview (between 20 minutes and one hour, depending on each person’s availability)
- focus groups (two hours)
- an anonymous online survey (15 minutes)
Interviews and focus groups can be held online or face-to-face, depending on each person’s schedule and preference. To set up a consultation, you can call us on 0457 620 129, or send an email to this address: mhtp@maylea.com.au. The date of the consultation will be Friday 23rd June from 10am to 12pm (AEST).
All participants will receive a $200 gift card in recognition of their time! Time is running out so register now.
More information about our project can be on our website: https://sites.google.com/maylea.com.au/mhtp/home. With You is funded by the Commonwealth Government, via Legal Aid NSW on behalf of a national consortium of Legal Aid Commissions.
