Sorell/Tasman Mental Health First Aid Courses

April 13, 2021 By Rahnee

Would you like to learn how to safely, helpfully and confidently support and talk about mental health and mental illnesses? Or would you like to learn how to support someone who is feeling suicidal?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training will teach you practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) “Conversations about Suicide” training will teach you practical skills to support someone who is feeling suicidal.

Both of these trainings will help improve knowledge of mental illnesses, treatments and first aid actions, increase confidence in providing first aid, decrease stigma and increase the support provided to others.

mental health families and friends Tasmania, through funding from Mental Health Council Tasmania’s Community Wellbeing Grants program, is pleased to offer TWO Conversations About Suicide training and ONE Mental Health First Aid training to the Sorell/Tasman Community.

These series of courses will be delivered in 2021 by Bec Thomas from Rising Kind.

The dates are:
