SANE Topic Tuesday – Self Care for Carers

July 19, 2021 By Rahnee

Self care

Self care is a term that we speak about on the forums, so what does it mean? Self care is the activities that you do each day that promote your emotional, physical and social health.

Every person’s self care will look different- it’s as unique as we are. For carers, self care is an important part of maintaining wellbeing and preventing burnout. Often on the forums we hear about compassion fatigue, and the impact on wellbeing that can happen when we don’t take time for ourselves.

This discussion will explore burnout and the role of self care in promoting wellbeing as a carer.

Please join here on Tuesday the 20th of July 2021 from 7:00pm-8:30pm AEST to follow this conversation.
