Peer Work and the NDIS Induction Training Registration

March 26, 2020 By Vicki

Register your interest

MHFFTas is calling for registrations to participate in a series of free, two-day training opportunities for family and friends of people with mental ill-health. The training originally scheduled for April has been postponed but you can register your interest and we will be in touch when new dates are determined.

This training:

  • is ideal for people who want to learn how to better support a family member or friend to access psychosocial supports through the NDIS, with the potential to lead to paid work to support other family members in a similar position.
  • has been specifically designed to prepare participants to provide support in a peer work capacity. The program includes elements of self-care and supported decision making and will take participants through the process of supporting a person with psychosocial disability to prepare and complete an NDIS application.
  • will be held over two days in April, in the North, North-West and South of the state.

We encourage you to participate in a location convenient to you. Dates to be advised.

NORTH – Launceston

SOUTH – Hobart

NORTH WEST – Devonport
