Mental Health Carers Australia invites you to ‘Have Your Say’ on NDIS reforms and psychosocial disability.

The NDIS is changing over the next several years. Some changes are already in effect, while others are still being designed or will be introduced gradually.

The changes include:

  • Access and eligibility
  • Plan reassessments, variations and renewals
  • How budgets are calculated and used
  • What the NDIS can fund
  • Record keeping and information requests
  • Provider and plan-management arrangements
  • New framework plans and support-needs assessments
  • How participant, family and carer outcomes are measured
  • Connections with psychosocial, foundational and other supports outside the NDIS

We want to understand what these changes could mean for people with psychosocial disability and their families, carers and kin. Your feedback will help identify the priorities, risks and safeguards that decision-makers need to consider.

MHCA will use this information through our participation in NDIA committees, consultations and working groups, as well as in targeted submissions, briefings and letters.

Because some reforms will be introduced gradually, we will come back to participants, families, carers and kin as the changes are implemented. This will help us understand what is happening in practice and what further action may be needed.
