Support for Families & Friends

There is a range of supports and services for families and friends of people with ill mental health: advocacy, counselling, clinical care, education,  outreach services, peer support, suicide bereavement, recreational programs, residential care & respite, training, and referral to other programs. Resources available in Tasmania are listed below.

We also run a series of peer support sessions called Safe Spaces, which are run both online and around the state (Hobart, St Helens, Launceston, and Burnie).

The Families and Friends Charter of Resilience has some thoughts and tips that may be helpful.
