SELF-ADVOCACY TOOLKIT

In 2020, the Department of Social Services through the Australian Government, funded MHFFTas  to build the capacity of families and friends supporting someone with a psychosocial disability through this self-advocacy project. This project has two major deliverables: a self-advocacy toolkit and a workshop. Each was co-designed with our advisory group, called the M-LEAG (Members of Lived Advisory Group).

Through brainstorming, feedback sessions and meetings, ten key tools were highlighted to help support people be their own best self-advocates while they navigate their support journey.  The toolkit has been developed and will be launched at Moonah Arts Centre on Tuesday 21st June 2022.
