SELF-ADVOCACY TOOLKIT AND WORKSHOPS
This project is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia represented by Department of Social Services
In 2020, the Department of Social Services through the Australian Government, funded MHFFTas to build the capacity of families and friends to support someone with a psychosocial disability through this self-advocacy project. This project has two major deliverables: a self-advocacy toolkit and a workshop. Each was co-designed with our advisory group, called the M-LEAG (Members of Lived Advisory Group).
Through brainstorming, feedback sessions, and meetings, ten key tools were highlighted to help support people be their own best self-advocates while they navigate their support journey.
