A new online tool to assist with determining Emergency Department waiting times.

The Department of Health publishes the average waiting time for non-critical cases in Tasmania’s four public emergency departments. This is to help people choose the right healthcare option for their needs, including less urgent cases who may be able to get treatment more quickly using another option.

The most serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses will always be seen first in our emergency departments (EDs). This means people with less urgent conditions, may have to wait longer.
