Cygnet Community Hub: A lived experience not-for-profit mental health community service organisation.
Cygnet Community Hub is a Not-for-Profit Community Service Organisation for mental health run by Volunteers who have lived experience. Currently volunteer numbers are approximately 28-30 whose role includes welcoming and supporting guests.
As a community hub we create environments which support people to build resilience and recovery for mental health and wellbeing. We offer several health promotions programs including the ‘Get Active Program’ and others.
The hub operates as a safe and confidential drop in space for conversation, referral and much needed services. In operation for 10 years the hub has an open-door policy for locals, holiday makers and seasonal workers.
We are pleased to have been chosen by the national organisation, Roses in the Ocean who have provided funding to support Cygnet Safe Space for Suicide Prevention.
