The Co-creating Safe Spaces Project: An opportunity to share your experiences of Safe Spaces as a service to support those in emotional distress.
The Centre for Mental Health Research Lived Experience Research Unit at the Australian National University are currently undertaking important research about Safe Spaces for people experiencing emotional distress and/or suicidal crisis.
Fill in the anonymous online community survey to share your insights on new services and support-seeking preferences.
What is the purpose of this study?
The entire study explores the design, use and effectiveness of safe spaces for people experiencing distress. Views are being sought from guests, safe space staff and health staff more broadly. Safe space sites across Australia are included in this community study.
The purpose of this particular part of the study is to evaluate the acceptability and accessibility of safe spaces to the public and whether those who attend or do not attend these services are representative of the possible population of safe space guests. This will be done via an Online Survey.
Who can participate?
- You are eligible to participate in this study if you are aged 16 and over and are currently residing in Australia. You don’t need to have any prior knowledge of safe spaces to participate in the survey.
Please see attached flyer (below) for more details including link to the survey.
