mental health families and friends TAS are proud to promote upcoming forums and workshops for anyone who interacts with children 0-12, that are being held by TANA (Trauma Awareness Network Tasmania), which are also supported by Catholic Care and Communities for Children.
The community forums will talk to adverse childhood experiences and the effects of toxic stress, especially in early life, and the science of resilience and thriving communities. The purpose of the forums and workshops is to make complex trauma common knowledge because it is the known root cause of most of our social problems – it drives people’s behaviour – and root causes need grassroots solutions.
The forum will take place on Tuesday the 22nd of March at the Burnie Arts and Function Cenre from 11:30am – 2:00pm.
The workshops will take place on:
- Tuesday March 29th at the Point, West Park Oval, Burnie, with the choice of times listed on the flyer below
- Tuesday April 12th at the Point, West Park Oval, Burnie, with the choice of times listed on the flyer below
